Can I freeze Vitalite?
Yes! Make sure it is put in the freezer before the best before date and defrost in the fridge. Consume within 2 weeks.
I’m intolerant to Dairy. Can I eat your products?
Of course! Vitalite spread and dairy free alternatives to cheese are completely dairy free. In addition we’re also lactose, gluten & soya free!
I’m giving Veganism a whirl. Are your products suitable for me?
For sure! All our products are free from animal products and Vegan Society accredited. Despite being Vegan, we never compromise on taste.
How is Vitalite spread different to butter?
Apart from the fact that Vitalite spread is dairy free, it also contains 75% less saturated fat than butter. It is a source of Vitamin E and Omega 3&6, and we fortify Vitalite with B vitamins helping you to maintain a balanced diet.
I’ve noticed there is palm oil in your spread. Is it sustainable?
The short answer is yes! We are a working member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and all palm oil used in our spread is sustainable.
Where can I buy Vitalite?
Our dairy free alternative to cheese is new to the market and can be found in Sainsbury’s & Asda stores and thevegankindsupermarket.com. Be sure to use our clever tool on the Where to find us page as both cheese alternatives are not currently stocked in all stores. Our spread can be found in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Coop & Lidl.
Do you add anything to your products to help maintain a balanced diet?
Our tasty dairy free alternatives to cheese have added calcium and vitamin B12. The spread has added B vitamins, including B12. You’re welcome!
What is the source of starch in Vitalite Dairy Free alternatives to cheese?
The modified starch blend in the Vitalite Dairy Free Alternatives to Cheese contains potato, maize and manioc starches.
Does Vitalite spread contain any hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats or fatty acids?
Our spread has been free from Trans Fats and Hydrogenated Fats since 2005!
Can I recycle Vitalite packaging?
The tub, lid and cover leaf of our Vitalite Dairy Free spread can all be recycled. The tray of our Vitalite dairy free alternatives to cheese are also recyclable but the film isn’t at the moment. While our Research & Development teams work to find a solution, we have partnered with TerraCycle® to offer an alternative way to recycle flexible cheese packaging. I have a nut allergy. Is it safe to eat your products?
Our products do not contain any nuts as ingredients and they are produced in factories which do not handle nuts or nut-based ingredients.
How do you make Vitalite taste as good as Dairy?
